ahhhhhh....

Michael, we're thankful you're okay. It's an honor to show you how much we appreciate the value you deliver to community! And it was cool to see such outpouring of concern for you. It must have been overwhelming.

Thank you for your heart-felt sentiment!

Holy cow, a whole post about this? I'm deeply touched. When someone else is walking the same path that you once did, you feel a connection and I understand that.

I've never been the beneficiary of this much generosity, and it's overwhelming. When you give to others without expecting anything in return, it comes back to you somehow. I've heard that and believed it my whole life, but it's times like now I see proof of it. And it has nothing to do with who deserves what. I certainly do not deserve this. I only had a hope, and this is what happened. I'm floored. It's so wonderful to see faith in the goodness of humanity become manifest.

Dana, you are a true friend.

QualityGal, I'm honored you took the time to comment!

I didn't even doubt whether Remarkablogger could afford to replace his Jeep. His situation touched me deeply, instantly. I felt compelled to give and to share why. I doubt anyone will be touched the way I was. His accident brought back vivid memories and emotions. Michael has provided some valuable coaching that I greatly appreciate and wanted to give back.

You are right. Now is the time for us to be generous and help those in need. The only way we are going to be able to make it through these very difficult times is to pay it forward to others. My husband and I have decided not to buy a bunch of presents and to go beyond our regular giving to help others. I'm seeing many do the same.

I'm sorry about your brother and brother-in-law. The stress must be great. I understand a little... I worked for a company that closed their doors with 24-hours notice last year. We have lost 63% of our 401K since Sept. The losses have completely changed our attitudes and perspective. It's been a life-changer, yet through it we have gained so much. Many are suffering. All of this is a good reminder to give.

Thanks for the opportunity to think and share.

I appreciate all that Michael Martine has to offer, but I have a feeling that someone as successful as he is can afford to replace his own Jeep. With the economy the way it is, I would prefer to help people who have just lost their jobs and can't, for example, pay their mortgage or electric bills. Maybe it's just me, as my brother lost his job in the real estate industry, and my brother-in-law works for GM and is worried about losing his job... both have young children and mortgages to worry about.

Nothing against Remarkablogger, but I think people's generosity could be better focused on helping those who are really in need.
